Let’s face it:talk is cheap. So let’s get right to the point!
A lot of people in your life have said to you, “I love you”. You probably put your faith in their words, only to be let down. Too often, those words were based upon your ability to give others what they needed. But once you could no longer fulfill their need, the words “I love you” were gone.
God said those same words to us, but He gave us what we needed when He sent His Son Jesus to die on the Cross for all of our sins. A lot of people say they believe that is true, yet they don’t really understand what it means for them today.
“While we were yet sinners,” the Bible says, “Christ died for us”! That wasn’t based on our performance – on whether we were “good” or “bad”. What He did was based solely upon God loving us so much that He was willing to sacrifice His only Son.
He did it so that sin could never again come between us and Him. That’s right! Drugs, prostitution, lying, stealing, and even murder – as bad as any of these can be – can’t separate us from His love, and they can never stop God from being there for us.
God loves you so much. He would never force Himself upon you. He is asking you just to trust Him. Being saved is not just going to church or reading your Bible. You could do that every day and not be saved. Being saved is when you, with all of your heart, simply tell Jesus that
1) you believe that He loved you so much that He died for your sins; and 2) you want His sacrifice to count for your life right now.
Don’t wait. The beginning of understanding true love is to accept God’s free gift of salvation. Simply pray in your heart: “Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that You died on the Cross for my sins. I want to accept that sacrifice for my life right now! Please come into my heart and save me.”
We believe that God has given the church a Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ, we must use all available means to go to the foreign nations and not wait for them to come to us (Matt 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; 2Cor 5:20).
